Are you ready?
The planned introduction of Domestic Reverse VAT charge has been shifted to 1st October 2020 to give construction specialists more time to prepare and to avoid a clash with Brexit.
“Many businesses across the construction industry were evidently not ready for the initial deadline of 1, October 2019. Given the backlog of businesses requesting conversion from quarterly to monthly VAT returns, it seems neither were HMRC.” Rob Driscoll (Director of Legal & Business ECA, SME Adviser to the Cabinet Office and Solicitor).
Open ECX hosted a webinar, where guest speaker Rob Driscoll takes you through how he was instrumental to the Government’s decision to the delay, along with exactly what the changes are, the likely implications, and how the additional preparation time should be used wisely.
The webinar explores how the industry can cope with the Domestic Reverse VAT charge and who the change will affect. Also, how WebContractor can assist to minimise operational disruption, including helping contractors avoid any VAT administration issues and VAT related arguments.
Additionally, to help you understand the adjustments, we have created a free downloadable guide where we explain everything you need to know about the changes, its potential impact on the construction industry, and how you could be affected. Click here to access the guide.
